Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrician to support our geothermal heating and cooling installations. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems associated with geothermal systems, ensuring compliance with local codes and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
•Install and service electrical components of geothermal heat pump systems, including controls and wiring.
•Interpret and work from electrical diagrams, blueprints, and manufacturer manuals.
•Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues using a practical, root cause approach.
•Collaborate with project managers, drillers, HVAC technicians, and other electricians.
•Perform system integration and ensure proper commissioning of all electrical components.
•Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure system reliability.
•Maintain clear documentation and communicate work performed and findings.
•Mentor apprentices or junior electricians as needed.
•Adhere to company safety policies and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
•Stay current with advancements in geothermal and electrical technologies.
Qualifications
•Journeyperson Electrician certification (Red Seal preferred)
•Experience with HVAC or geothermal systems is a strong asset
•Strong working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and Alberta standards
•Ability to read schematics and electrical diagrams
•Proficient with diagnostic and testing tools
•Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills
•Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Pay: $35.00-$40.00 per hour
