Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our small business. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial electrical systems, demonstrating proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. Responsibilities
•Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
•Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems.
•Utilize power tools and testing equipment such as voltmeters and ammeters to troubleshoot issues.
•Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure efficient project completion.
•Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify potential hazards or malfunctions.
•Ensure compliance with all safety regulations while performing tasks on-site.
•Provide guidance and training to apprentices or less experienced electricians as needed.
Qualifications
•Proven experience as a commercial/residential electrician or similar role in the construction industry.
•Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques.
•Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical documents (recommended).
•Familiarity with power tools and testing equipment; experience with voltmeters and ammeters is a plus.
•Knowledge of frame carpentry is advantageous for integrated projects.
•Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
•Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
•Possess relevant certifications or licenses as required by state regulations (recommended).
