Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyman Electrician with primarily oilfield experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work as well, demonstrating proficiency in various electrical systems and installations. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively. The Journeyman Electrician will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical installations and repairs are completed to the highest standards of quality and safety. Caldera Electric LLC is located in Purcell, OK but our electricians service the whole state of Oklahoma. This position primarily will be for South Central Oklahoma.

Duties

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in oilfield, commercial and industrial settings.

- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot and optimize electrical systems.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools for various tasks including installation, renovation, and maintenance of electrical systems.

- Conduct tests using ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute projects accurately.

- Adhere to the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations while performing all tasks.

- Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure timely completion of projects while maintaining high safety standards.

- Provide maintenance person services as needed for minor repairs or adjustments in addition to primary electrical duties.

- Assist in training apprentices or less experienced electricians as required.

Qualifications

- Must have Electrical Journeymen License from Oklahoma Construction Industries Board

- Proven experience as an electrician with a focus in the oilfield.

- Strong knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems.

- Ability to work effectively on sites while adhering to safety protocols.

- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail in all aspects of work.

- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
