Journeyman Electrician

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Journeyperson Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both industrial and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency with various electrical systems and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes, schematics, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. The Journeyperson Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Responsibilities

- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).

- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and power tools.

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout of wiring systems.

- Work with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation systems.

- Perform high voltage installations and maintenance tasks as required.

- Conduct low voltage wiring installations for various applications.

- Collaborate with other trades on construction sites to ensure timely project completion.

- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively in all tasks.

- Participate in renovation projects by providing electrical expertise to enhance existing structures.

- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Experience

- Proven experience as an industrial electrician or commercial electrician is essential.

- Familiarity with frame carpentry and maintenance person tasks is a plus.

- Strong knowledge of electrical systems including high voltage and low voltage applications.

- Ability to work independently or as part of a team on construction sites.

- Experience reading blueprints and schematics is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
