The Manufacturing IT Systems Administrator will provide day-to-day systems support to plant personnel in addition to supporting infrastructure and improvement projects as assigned.
This role is expected to develop a technical mastery of our systems and bring with them demonstrated successes with provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure.
- Triage all IT hardware, software, and network issues in an office and on the manufacturing plant floor.
- Configure and deploy IT hardware equipment, such as computers, printers, conference phones, and conferencing systems while following hardware and software standards.
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, and cloud platforms, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled automation tasks.
- Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
- Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
- Provide remote end user desktop support.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve system incidents with both short-term workarounds and long-term solutions.
- Respond to escalated service desk/team requests.
- Provide support for all information and manufacturing system operations activities including computer and network operations, troubleshooting, data control/security, documentation, software version control, change control, security, backup/recovery, and system performance.
- Understand the hardware, software, and applications from a users' standpoint to ensure proper problem resolution. Monitor system performance, perform system checks, and enforce procedures established for system use.
- Communicate effectively (in oral and written form) with a variety of individuals, work well within small and large team environments.
- Demonstrate strong customer service focus and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Possess solid analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Solid understanding of IT systems administration: operating systems, business applications (M365, ERP, Accounting, CRM, etc.), printing systems and network systems required.
- Effective time management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently.
- Ability to work independently.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of professional IT technical support required.
- Associate degree in computer science, Information Technology, or Electronic Technology preferred but not required.
- Experience working in a manufacturing plant setting strongly preferred.
- Experience configuring, troubleshooting issues, and deploying IT hardware, such as various printers, PCs, bar code scanning devices, and/or radio frequency (RF) devices required.
- Experience managing vendors for expedited troubleshooting of hardware and software systems preferred.
- Must be available to work 40 hours per week, with a proven excellent attendance record.

- Ability to move between different building locations, as well as being sedentary for long periods of time.
