We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining our company's network infrastructure, providing technical support for hardware issues to employees, and handling any virus-related issues that arise. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and secure operation of our IT systems.
Perform regular network performance checks and optimize as needed.
Provide first-line support to employees experiencing hardware issues.
Assist with the setup, configuration, and maintenance of IT equipment.
Monitor the network for security breaches and respond to threats.
Perform regular security scans and update virus definitions.
Educate employees on best practices for avoiding viruses and maintaining security.
Maintain accurate records of IT issues and resolutions.
Generate regular reports on network performance and security status.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an IT Support Specialist or in a similar role.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP).
Knowledge of firewall management and security best practices.
