Job Description
Provide leadership to technical teams and manage all aspects of the IT project intake and demand management programs. Coordinate with business stakeholders to ensure consistent and efficient use of the intake process. Maintain collaborative relationships, gather and document new functionality requests, provide recommendations to leadership, and ensure smooth handoff to downstream workflows. Oversee governance of the IT project intake process. Review, understand, and forecast consumption of IT/cloud services from multiple internal and external IT providers. As required, work with various entities (Finance, providers, IT, business units) to drive transparency around IT costs and consumption.

IT Intake and Demand Program Manager
Hiring Salary Range: $106,000-135,000
Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary outside of the posted hiring salary range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
Responsibilities
- Lead and continuously improve the IT project intake process, including regular reviews and enhancements.
- Develop and maintain intake procedures and documentation, and train stakeholders.
- Chair Demand Management and Intake Review meetings and participate in cross-functional sessions to support intake governance and execution.
- Analyze, prioritize, and maintain a curated backlog of new project requests. Ensure submissions are feasible, consistent, and aligned with organizational priorities, avoiding duplication or conflict.
- Regularly cleanse the backlog to remove outdated or irrelevant items.
- Oversee deployment and adoption of backlog management tools to support decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Serve as the primary liaison with stakeholders, managing communications around project approvals, rejections, and revisions. Encourage senior leaders to make timely decisions using reliable and current portfolio data.
- Collaborate with the PMO to assess project capacity and resource availability. Assist with forecasting future resource needs and work with decision makers to prioritize backlog items accordingly.
- Provide senior leadership high-level insights into backlog status and its impact on broader business initiatives.
- Attend steering committee and PMO meetings, offering administrative support and follow-up as needed.
- Develop a deep understanding of the organization’s IT/cloud architecture and technology portfolio.
- Provide cost analysis expertise and guidance to systems analysts, IT/cloud engineers, and systems architects.
- Analyze demand for IT/cloud services to support forecasting, capacity planning, and vendor negotiations for optimized pricing and usage.
- Design, maintain, and enhance dashboards that deliver actionable insights on service costs, demand trends, pricing, and capacity metrics for management.
- Understand and fulfill the role and responsibility for all compliance programs within the company.

Education and Training:
- Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, including presenting technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint. Working knowledge of enterprise systems, databases, networking, operating systems, and security. Ability to learn and apply new technologies.
- Understanding of project management concepts and ability to conduct related research.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective time management and adaptability in high-pressure environments- 8+ years of experience in IT. - 3+ years of experience in intake and/or demand management.
- Solid understanding of project and portfolio management processes and platforms.
- Familiarity with the functioning of a PMO and Steering Committee.
- Candidate must be able to communicate in English effectively.
- Willingness to travel as required, less than 20%. (Must possess a valid driver’s license.)
- Must be able to demonstrate the ability to perform all the essential functions of the position.
- ITIL or PMP certifications.
- Experience in project management or business analyst roles.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and ITAM, or similar products.
Experience interacting with the user community and IT stakeholders, desired.
