Program Manager (Automotive)

Tempel Steel is looking to add a Corporate Program Manager to our team! The Corporate Program Manager will lead cross-functional initiatives across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial teams to ensure the successful delivery of strategic programs within the automotive sector. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in program management, capable of driving complex projects from concept through launch, while aligning with business objectives and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to deliver automotive programs on time, within scope, and budget.

- Develop and maintain comprehensive program plans, including schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.

- Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.

- Monitor program performance, identify issues, and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

- Facilitate regular program reviews and provide updates to senior leadership on progress, challenges, and opportunities.

- Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications throughout the program lifecycle.

- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance program management processes and outcomes

Desired Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or PMP certification is a plus.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management within the automotive industry.

- Proven track record of successfully managing complex programs involving multiple stakeholders.

- Strong understanding of automotive manufacturing processes and supply chain dynamics.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Proficiency in project management tools and software.

- Ability to travel as needed to support program objectives

Work Environment:

This position offers a remote or hybrid work arrangement, providing flexibility while maintaining strong team engagement. While most responsibilities can be performed from a home office, occasional on-site collaboration at Tempel Steel’s corporate facility or visits to manufacturing areas may be required, depending on business needs. The work environment is fast-paced and collaborative, with frequent virtual meetings and cross-functional communication to support alignment and productivity.
