IT Financial Management Sr. Analyst

Position Summary

Targa Resources Corp. is a leading provider of midstream services and is one of the largest independent midstream infrastructure companies in North America. Targa is currently seeking an IT Financial Management Sr. Analyst. The Sr. Analyst is responsible for tracking and analyzing historical and forecast spend data for IT software licensing, SaaS, IT Systems/Processes, IT Security, SCADA and IT Infrastructure to ensure forecasting & budgeting accuracy. The Sr. Analyst is also responsible for analyzing spend trends and developing predictive financial models to support the management team in making strategic business decisions. They will also coordinate with various departments to support the procurement, tracking, and contract management of IT assets throughout their lifecycle.

JOB FUNCTIONS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Compile, prepare, analyze, verify and disseminate monthly financial analysis and reporting regarding all IT Departmental spend

- Understand and communicate monthly actual financial variances to forecast and budget for all purchasing account codes for all IT Departments

- Coordinate and support the tracking of IT assets from initial purchase, through renewals and to contract end

- Understand software contract licensing factors, technical and commercial terms to support the IT department

- Ensure IT asset pricing is compliant with contractual terms & conditions

- Maintain IT agreements with term dates

- Coordinate and facilitate periodic reviews of ServiceNow and OFC processes and standards, and provide recommendations for improvements impacting IT assets

- Provide insights into cost savings across the spend, identify savings opportunities

- Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

- Superior Excel & Power BI skills and experience

- Excellent reporting, presenting and communication abilities

- Excellent reporting, presenting and communication abilities

- Prior budgeting and forecasting experience with month-end close responsibilities is essential

- Understanding of matching principles and accounting guidelines regarding expense recognition, amortization scheduling and journal entries.

- Exceptional analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills

- Strong ability to identify and recommend alternative solutions to successfully meet business priorities

- Strong interpersonal communication skills are required to interface with all affected groups

- Strong work ethic with demonstrated ability to effectively work with minimum supervision

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, IT or Business-related fields

- 5+ years’ experience in one of the following disciplines: Finance, Information Technology, Asset Management

- Experience with software assets, licenses, and contracts

- Process Management

- Proficient in all MS Office applications

- Ability to work on multiple, concurrent tasks within established deadlines

- Regular and reliable attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with complex financial modeling

- Experience in technology purchasing

- Experience using Oracle Financial Cloud

- Experience using OneStream Financial Planning Software

- Experience using ServiceNow

- Oil & Gas Midstream experience
