Location:
Los Gatos, CA – Onsite, 5 days/week
12 months Contract (potential conversion)
- Support engineering and stakeholder teams with device setup for demos and internal use.
- Heavy focus on
stakeholder/customer service
: setting up equipment, troubleshooting, and ensuring smooth user experiences.
- Manage IT-related tasks: handling mobile phones, peripherals, consumer electronics, desktops, and especially TV setups (50–75% of workload).
- Workflow: On-call rotation + task list managed by a team lead.- Not networking-heavy (minimal VPN work); more about device delivery, setup, and basic troubleshooting.
- Backfill role (previous contractor converted after ~1 yr 9 months).
- Configure and deliver devices (TVs, mobile, desktops, etc.) for demos and stakeholders.
- Respond to requests via Slack and internal systems.
- Manage and track equipment across 4 locations.
- Handle basic troubleshooting and support requests.
- Use hand tools/power tools for installations.
- Participate in on-call support rotation (M–F, 10am–5pm).
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (degree not required).
- Physical:
Ability to lift 50 lbs.; must pass drug screening.
- Technical Skills:
- Mac OS experience (nice to have).
- Experience with consumer electronics, mobile devices, peripherals.
- Prior IT desk, Geek Squad, or similar tech support background highly relevant.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Comfort working with engineers and stakeholders.
- Hands-on, proactive, and flexible in a fast-moving environment.
- Training/onboarding provided by current team.
- Role is very active (little desk time; constant movement).
