Position Summary:
The Inventory & Billing Analyst – Assistant Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of inventory records and billing processes. This individual will assist in managing day-to-day inventory control, support the billing cycle, identify discrepancies, and implement process improvements. The role requires strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
•Oversee daily inventory activities including receipts, transfers, cycle counts, and adjustments.
•Analyze inventory trends and discrepancies, investigating and resolving root causes.
•Ensure inventory transactions are accurately reflected in ERP systems.
•Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to implement best practices in inventory control.
•Support physical inventory audits and reconciliation processes.
Billing & Invoicing:
•Ensure accurate and timely billing for all customer orders and services.
•Review and verify billing data for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with customer contracts and company policies.
•Resolve billing discrepancies in coordination with sales, finance, and operations teams.
•Assist in generating regular financial and performance reports related to billing and inventory.
Process Improvement & Reporting:
•Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to track key performance indicators.
•Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and process improvements.
•Support system enhancements and data integrity projects related to inventory and billing.
•Train and mentor junior staff on inventory and billing procedures.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred.
•3–5 years of experience in inventory analysis, billing, or related operations roles; experience in manufacturing or distribution industries is a plus.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
•Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
•High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Preferred Skills:
•Familiarity with aluminum or metals distribution industry.
•Ability to adapt to and support ongoing system or technology upgrades.
