We’re hiring an Inventory and Field Operations Analyst to support our Field Operations Team with data analytics, financial performance tracking, and custom reporting. This role plays a key part in enabling data-driven decisions and advancing our analytics strategy.

The ideal candidate brings strong technical reporting skills, field operations knowledge, and leadership capabilities. Responsibilities include KPI reporting, continuous improvement support, and coaching field personnel. Experience with financial systems, Management Operating Systems (MOS), and working in a regulated environment is essential.

Major Responsibilities:

- Validate the quality and integrity of the data included in the Reporting Packages and Dashboards; work with functional managers to drive disciplined ownership of data quality; monitor and enforce data quality processes and assist with the development of data quality corrections and automations

- Optimize data from multiple sources to offer a high degree of data quality and performance, including retrieve, organize, and manipulate data from multiple databases

- Identify and implement improvements in data analytics and data delivery by leveraging knowledge of business intelligence and field services analytics

- Lead the design, development, testing and refining of reporting solution, including: queries; dashboards; charts; graphs; ad hoc reports; data validation; and data visualization for end users consumption

- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled Audits of the Management Operating System as directed, which can include review of KPIs, capacity planning, standard work procedures, performance monitoring, continuous improvement, base business opportunities, business cases, decision records, and defining responsibilities and ownership

- Facilitate operational efficiency examples by reviewing Base Business Opportunity improvements

- Create and analyze Field Services operational reports to be included in the Field Services Dashboard

- Perform financial and operational analysis tied through the flow of resources, execution of work, and measurement of performance to align and enable better decision making and strategic growth

- Conducts financial and process analysis, provides Field Services analytics to make recommendations for profitability, process and training improvements

- Plan and organize work groups and projects

- Provide input into the development of decision quality frameworks

- Develop and facilitate audit results and create the development of action plans to address variances as identified through the Audit Process when applicable

Education Required:

- Business degree, Engineering degree, MBA or equivalent

Qualifications & Experience:

- 8+ years of progression in a reporting and analytics in a Utilities, Field Services related role

- Certification in Data Analytics/Science

- Demonstrated experience working on work process analysis initiatives preferably in an electrical utility or equivalent

- Advanced skills in data analytics, including data preparation, modeling, and technical analysis

- Proficient in Power BI (including DAX), Denodo, Adaptive Insights, Excel, SQL, Azure/SQL Data Warehouse, SQL Server, Azure Machine Learning, Microsoft Fabric, and SharePoint

- Experience leading financial forecasting, tracking, and performance analysis

- Skilled in training and coaching others on best practices, processes, and technology use

- Strong knowledge of Management Operating System (MOS) best practices and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Cost of Service, PBR, Rule 005)

- Proven expertise in business process improvement, change management, and stakeholder facilitation

Salary: Analyst Level D (Current CUPE 2025 rates)

$115,556.35 - $122,777.38 - $129,998.41 - $137,219.45 - $144,440.48

Location: This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) work force with office workspace located at South Service Centre - 8820 - 52 St. S.E., Calgary, AB and occasionally the Field Services Depot – 2020 Centre Avenue Street NE. You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
