Intern, Utility Operations (Southern)

Job Summary

The Utility Operations Team (Southern) at Aquarion is looking for an intern! The intern in will be primarily working out of the Stamford CT office. He/She will be exposed to a vast amount of water distribution processes both in the field and in the office.

Principal Responsibilities

In this role, you will be working closely on computer documentation verification, drawing and tap card submissions, document filing and other office duties as needed. You will have the opportunity to work in the field along side our distribution and service team. There will be an opportunity to learn about our locating services, hydrant/valve maintenance, flushing, and leak detection responsibilities with our distribution team as well as fluid hydraulics and how water flows from different water systems. With our service department you'll have the opportunity to learn about our meter change program, disconnections, customer dealings, and more.
