The Air Compliance team is responsible for ensuring that all operations adhere to federal, state, and local environmental regulations related to air quality. This includes managing permits, monitoring emissions, conducting regular reporting, and implementing strategies to minimize environmental impact. The team works proactively to identify potential compliance issues, coordinate inspections and audits, and develop programs to reduce emissions and improve operational efficiency. Our efforts help Tallgrass maintain regulatory compliance, avoid penalties, and demonstrate a commitment to environmental stewardship while supporting safe and sustainable operations across the organization.
- Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to support emissions calculations including greenhouse gases and criteria pollutants from various internal systems and operations personnel.
- Support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to federal and state agencies.
- Help maintain and update permits, ensuring all documentation is current and compliant.
- Conduct research on relevant air quality regulations and assist in implementing compliance strategies.
- Support the coordination of emissions testing and monitoring activities, including recordkeeping.

Student actively enrolled in a degreed program and attending classes related to environmental science or environmental studies, chemical or environmental engineering , geosciences, environmental policy, sustainability or natural resources management with expected graduation date of December 2025- May 2028.

Our internships are temporary full-time positions, in-person at our Lakewood office. We will host our Summer 2026 interns from May-August for 10 weeks.
