Job Title: Air Compliance and Permitting Scientist at Trihydro Corporation
Job Summary:
Trihydro Corporation, one of the top environmental and engineering consulting firms in the country, has an opening for an Air Compliance and Permitting Scientist. The ideal candidate will join our team in Laramie, WY, and assist in providing clients across industries with effective, responsive, and safe solutions.

- Conduct air quality regulatory and compliance analyses.
- Conduct air quality field surveys including optical gas imaging.
- Perform emission calculations and develop emission inventories including criteria pollutants, hazardous air pollutants, and greenhouse gases.
- Conducts air dispersion modeling and emissions calculations.
- Evaluate pollution control technologies, including technical and economic feasibility of pollution control equipment.
- Prepare complete and accurate air quality permit applications for major and minor sources, including Title V, Prevention of Significant Deterioration, and New Source Review in accordance with federal, state, and local air district requirements.
- Assist with continuous emissions monitoring system compliance
- Assist with compliance planning, reporting, and facility auditing.
- Works with environmental teams to ensure compliance with EPA and state regulations.
- Complete field work at client facilities in an oil and gas environment.
- Assist with marketing and business development efforts, including technical proposals and cost estimates.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, or related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant environmental industry experience.
- Familiar with and willing to support air quality permitting and compliance projects.
- Flexibility to support non-air-related projects as needed.
- Ability to work independently and contribute meaningfully to an established team of geologists, engineers, and scientists to meet client service expectations and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, project stakeholders, and project team members.
- Strong technical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and completeness, with a commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
- Fluent in Microsoft Excel and familiar with Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and affiliated applications.
- Clean driving record and a commitment to safe operations.
- Ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices.
