Intermediate Geologist

We are seeking an Intermediate Geologist

, based out of our Toronto or Montreal office.

Reporting to DRA’s SVP Mining and Geology in the Americas, you will lead and provide technical assistance for green-field and brown-field exploration projects and mineral resource estimation.

Prepare and take charge of green-field and brown-field exploration projects, operating mines and audits of mining projects through the application of geological models, estimate resources, and technical report writing following NI43-101 or JORC codes. Occasionally audit and validate geological models and resource estimations prepared by clients.

Knowledge & Experience:

- B.Eng in Geological Engineering or BSc in Geology;

- 8+ years or more of experience in consulting, exploration or operating mines;

- Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec or Ordre des géologues du Québec or have the qualifications to become a member in the near future;

- Practical experience in the geology of gold and iron ore is an advantage;

- Strong experience in exploration and modelling;

- Hands-on experience in using exploration and modelling software;

- Experience in technical writing of NI 43-101 and JORC reports;

- Expertise or good knowledge of Geostatistics.

- Available to travel within Canada and Overseas;

- Strong team work and communication skills.

- Bilingual (English/French)
