We are seeking an Instrument Inspector to support our Chemicals & Distribution facility. The primary role of the Instrument Inspector is to provide support and technical expertise to maintain and improve control systems in the manufacturing complex. This position is expected to take a lead role in identifying and troubleshooting instrumentation that requires improvement or is not meeting functional performance requirements, and in developing technically sound solutions.
- Assist technicians in instrumentation troubleshooting and provide recommendations on repairs as required.
- Review, improve, and develop instrumentation maintenance work processes and procedures.
- Coordinate efforts to procure specialized parts.
- Participate in RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) and Rework Investigations and tracks assigned action items until completion.
- Assist Projects and Turnaround groups with instrumentation job scope development and QA requirements.
- Ensure instrument equipment is installed in accordance with industry and corporate standards.
- Support implementation of continuous improvement in inspection processes and maintenance practices.
- High school diploma or equivalent education
- 4+ years of experience working within Instrumentation Maintenance- Knowledge of process instrumentation maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of PLCs, DCS, and SCADA maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation)
- Associate’s degree in Instrumentation
- Knowledge of Honeywell Foundation Fieldbus maintenance and troubleshooting techniques
- Knowledge of Triconex Safety TMR Systems maintenance and troubleshooting
- SAP expertise
- Willing and able to work outside in inclement weather with or without accommodation
- Willing and able to work in compact and confined spaces with or without accommodation
- Must be willing and able to work at heights, walk on high elevation grating and to walk up and down stairs with or without accommodation
