Inside Sales Representative – Automotive

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for generating sales and fulfilling all contractual obligations through the efficient management of their accounts and customer relations. Under the guidance of an Account Manager in tandem with other teams, to align with departmental sales goals and strategic plans.
Education:
•Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or a 3–4-year college diploma.
Experience:
•While prior experience in the steel industry and related sales is valued, we are willing to train the right candidate.
Knowledge & Skills:
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
•Strong mathematics skills at a college level.
•Previous experience in the steel industry and product knowledge is considered an asset.
•Exceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy in data management.
•Proven ability to generate and analyze sales reports.
•Demonstrated sense of urgency in handling tasks.
•Familiarity with sales performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities:
As an Inside Sales Representative at Venture Steel, you will play a crucial role in managing customer relationships and ensuring the smooth processing of orders. Your responsibilities will include:
•Cultivating and maintaining daily customer relationships and contractual accounts with a focus on achieving company goals through the application of effective soft skills and industry best practices.
•Efficiently processing orders from initiation to completion.
•Ensuring data accuracy in orders and invoices.
•Communicating with clients to collect missing information and address inquiries.
•Providing valuable customer feedback to internal teams.
•Monitoring and ensuring the achievement of sales targets, reporting any deviations.
•Handling the setup of new accounts.
•Maintaining and updating customer records and information.
•Collaborating with the Logistics department to ensure timely deliveries.
•Collaborating with other members of the sales team to provide excellent customer service, coordinating with departments such as purchasing, scheduling, production, shipping, quality, and finance.
