You are responsible for providing mechanical engineering expertise to the sales process. You are instrumental in getting a sale across the finish line by handling more technical aspects of the process and creating/revising sales quotes and product submittals. You will represent the company with a professional demeaner and an engaging, positive attitude. Excellent customer service and the ability to work in a team are crucial to being successful in this position.
· Search bid sites for jobs that companies/contractors are bidding, identify potential opportunities, and make the case to go after a job.
· Pull specifications for Boilers, stack , controls, pumps, DA’s, feedwater tanks, surge tanks, water softeners, water treatment, blowdown, heat recovery etc.
· Attend all sales meetings for project status
o Identify tasks for sales people for project, keep current
· Be responsible for generating quotes and assisting in determining products to offer. Closely review project specifications and equipment schedules, provide comments and exceptions to specifications as required.
- Once order is received, create detailed submittal package, according to specifications, to send to client to get their sign-off.
- Sales/Training support CB “on the road” training
- Factory-Manufacturer training trips/educational.

· Back-up the parts manager as needed with order processing, answering calls, and providing quotes.
o Back up technical Service information/phone calls/trouble shooting
o Back up service support information service tech’s
- Attend client site visits to provide technical expertise as needed.
o Attend local trade shows ASHRE, Brew masters, Pharma etc.
- Project inside Engineering Lead
- Attend all meetings
- Answer project phone calls
- Resolve issues
- Keep Manufacturers on point for lead times, back orders, schedules etc.
- Distribute drawings and answer technical questions for sales team and clients.
- Secondary check on all submittals
- Manage Resolution and corrections to submittals from Manufacturer to client
- Provide aftermarket support by quoting conversions and service jobs.
- Assist Aftermarket with custom quotes in the CB system
- Assist Aftermarket in investigation on parts, conversions, repairs, modifications etc.
- Manage/Maintain the custom quotes in the CB system
- CB Configurator Champion
- Strong knowledge with commercial specification requirements for professional submittals and applications of products to multiple stakeholders (Building Owners, Architects, Engineers, and Project Managers)
- Be responsible for generating quotes and assisting in determining products to offer. Closely review project specifications and equipment schedules, provide comments and exceptions to specifications as required.
- Update CRM daily to ensure the sales pipe drive is continuously improving.
- Keep service team up to date on upcoming start-ups.
- Manage the orders in the CB system both New Product and Aftermarket
- Answering Engineering phone calls
- Continuing education on CB and Fulton – manufacturer monthly online training events (All vendors)
Skills, experience, and qualities that will help you be successful:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred.
- 3D CAD experience preferred. Analyze, troubleshoot, design and create functional virtual prototypes of systems.
- Preferred experience in Revit or AutoCAD
- 1-3 years mechanical engineering experience preferred.
- NetSuite data entry preferred.
- Sales engineering experience preferred.
- Industrial background preferred.
- Strong attention-to-detail, trouble shooting, and problem solving are a must.
- Must be able to juggle many projects at once and prioritize.
- Strong communication skills and timely responsiveness required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products required.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications required.
