We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Systems Administrator to support, maintain, and enhance the company’s IT infrastructure and enterprise applications within a dynamic mining environment. This role ensures stability, security, and performance of servers, networks, desktops, and business-critical systems — including the ERP environment and SaaS applications — while providing hands-on support and collaborating with departments such as Finance, Procurement, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
- Uphold E.R. Jahna’s Core Values of Safety, People, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SPQDC), and participate in Daily Directional Setting (DDS) meetings to align IT efforts with business goals.
- Administer, maintain, and optimize IT infrastructure including servers, networks, storage, and enterprise applications to ensure reliability, availability, and security.
- Provide responsive desktop and end-user support, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with Private Cloud, MSPs, MSSPs, and SaaS providers to ensure system performance, cybersecurity posture, and service excellence.
- Plan and execute IT projects such as upgrades, migrations, and hardware/software deployments.
- Support and maintain ERP and integrated systems, ensuring connectivity, access control, and smooth departmental operations.
- Monitor and document system performance, configurations, and procedures to support business continuity and compliance.
- Perform cross-domain technical analysis across systems, networks, applications, and security environments.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and assist with additional IT projects as assigned.
- Lead coordination with ERP vendors and consultants, including Oracle, IBM, and strategic business partners, to maintain and modernize enterprise systems.
- Oversee ERP migration initiatives, ensuring seamless data transition, integrations, and user adoption within the new environment.
- Administer ERP infrastructure and related applications, ensuring availability, data integrity, and security across business functions.
- Manage user access, backups, and disaster recovery processes in accordance with IT and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders in Finance, Operations, and IT to align system capabilities with business requirements.
- Provide user support, documentation, and training to promote consistency, efficiency, and effective system utilization.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Systems, or related field, or equivalent related experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in supporting end-users, workstations and servers.
- Experience in project management, vendor coordination, and systems migration.
- Proficiency in databases, reporting tools, system security, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of business processes and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of networking systems, services, protocols, and server hardware.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with professionalism and accuracy.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communicator with the ability to interact with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Skilled in diagnosing complex issues, gathering data, and providing actionable solutions.
- Ability to work independently and travel to field locations as needed.
This position operates both in a professional office environment and at active mining sites, which are in an outdoor environment. Will require occasional travel to active mining sites. On-call support may be required for critical system issues. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position’s home base will be the corporate office in Lake Wales, FL.
This position reports to the Director of IT.
