Bridge Brothers is seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to apply protective coatings and finishes to structural steel bridge components. This hands-on role is responsible for surface preparation, mixing and applying paints or coatings, and ensuring all finishes meet industry standards and project specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial painting techniques and a strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
- Mix and apply coatings such as epoxy, zinc, and other high-performance paints.
- Apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment (including airless spray guns).
- Inspect finished work to ensure proper thickness, adhesion, and coverage.
- Maintain and clean painting equipment, spray guns, and related tools.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and contract requirements for coatings.
- Safely handle and store paints, solvents, and chemicals in compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with quality control to ensure work meets specifications.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial painting or protective coatings preferred.- Knowledge of epoxy, zinc, or high-performance industrial coatings.
- Familiarity with spray painting equipment and techniques.
- Ability to read and follow drawings, instructions, and safety data sheets.
- Forklift and overhead crane experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to cross-train in other departments as needed.
- Fast-paced fabrication and coatings environment.
- Frequent standing, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to paint fumes, dust, and loud equipment.
- PPE required and provided.
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m. EST (with some weekends as needed)
- Overtime: Available as required
- Employment Type: Full-time, Non-exempt
