Key Responsibilities A Painter is responsible for completing the following duties: Surface Preparation: Sand spatter and rust, wipe down steel to remove oils and cutting fluids. Painting Process: Apply paint to completed production jobs and sub-assemblies. Equipment and Maintenance: Mix paint properly, use correct paint equipment settings and adjustments, and perform daily maintenance routines on paint equipment. Quality Control: Identify and mask areas not to be painted, utilize proper paint application techniques, inspect paint jobs for quality issues like runs and missed areas. Documentation: Maintain paint booth and complete necessary paperwork. Compensation The starting pay range for this position is $20-$24 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location.
