Industrial Painter I

JOB OVERVIEW

Safely perform rig and component preparation, painting, and detailing of rig and components under minimal supervision.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Follow standard operating procedures when using primers, paint, and components, and corrosion preventive chemicals, and use protective equipment as required.

- Coordinate with supervision and inspection to ensure compliance with internal and paperwork, sign-offs, and quality inspection.

- Follow high standards of paint quality through instruction and by setting a good example for others to follow.

- Follow standard operating procedures when using tools and equipment such as dual-action sanders and paint sprayers (when applicable).

- Properly care for and maintain shop equipment and tools.

- Resolve paint problems (supplier or internal) and/or report to the supervisor for assistance.

- Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with company policies and procedures.

- Handle other tasks as assigned by the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.

- Demonstrate respect and commitment to the IMS System (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018), taking accountability for its effectiveness and continued improvements.

REQUIRED PROFILE

- High School Diploma or G.E.D.

- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (minimum)

- Great collaboration.

- Good attitude.

- Good attendance record.

- Knowledge of basic hand tools.

- High attention to detail.

- Willingness to work overtime and shift work as needed.

- Ability to learn in a fast-paced environment.

OTHER INFORMATION

Employee must be fit tested and able to use a respirator in the workplace. Annual evaluations will be performed as a follow-up.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and listen. This position is highly active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee will be exposed to loud noises consistently. Employees will be obliged to wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required on the job.
