Hydrovac Operator (1 YR OP EXP REQ & 3 YRS CDL EXP REQ)

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hydrovac Operator to join our team. (NOTE: We may consider training qualified Class A or B CDL drivers with at least 3-5 yrs exp.)

As a Hydrovac Operator, you will be responsible for operating specialized equipment to safely locate underground utilities, pipelines, etc.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits and requires a strong understanding of hydrovac equipment operation and mechanical knowledge as well as the ability to work in various environments..

Responsibilities

-Operate hydrovac equipment to safely excavate and expose underground utilities

- Perform hydro excavation tasks using high-pressure water and vacuum systems

- Safely operate and maintain the equipment

- Dig trenches and holes as required for clients' projects

- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment

- Complete daily pre-trip inspections of equipment and report any issues or malfunctions

- Properly track fuel and mileage

- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily reports, time sheets, and maintenance logs

Requirements

- Valid Class B or Class A driver's license with Tank Endorsement; must have a clean driving record and be able to pass a DOT drug test (must also be in the National Clearinghouse).

- Previous experience operating hydrovac equipment is required; available to work extended hours is required; available to work out of town for short or extended periods of time is required

- Ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, and locate underground utilities- Strong mechanical knowledge to perform routine maintenance on equipment

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments
