HydroVac Helper

Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable HydroVac Helper to join our operation team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various construction and oil field activities and operate a range of heavy machinery. The Helper will support skilled operators and contribute to the successful completion of projects, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. Prior experience in construction, oil field or heavy equipment is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

- Support skilled operators in the setup and breakdown of job site.

- Help with site preparation, material handling, and equipment transportation.

- Perform routine inspections and basic troubleshooting of machinery to ensure safety and proper functioning.

- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment.

- Assist with general labor tasks including pressure washer, trenching, digging, loading, unloading, and moving materials around the site.

- Support horizontal drilling and paving operations as needed.

- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.

Requirements

- Basic mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is preferred.

- Experience with commercial driving or operating machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, dump trucks, or tankers is advantageous.

- Prior oil field, utility and construction site experience is highly desirable.

- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety standards.

- Willingness to learn new skills related to oil field, and construction and equipment operation.

- Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.

- Valid driver’s license is preferred for supporting transportation needs on-site. This position provides an excellent pathway into the oil field and construction industry with opportunities for skill development in various types of heavy machinery operation while contributing to important infrastructure projects.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
