As an HVAC Installer, you'll be the hands-on hero behind our fast, efficient, and temporary climate control solutions. Whether it's for a movie set, hospital, office, or event, your work keeps things running smoothly, no matter the weather.
As an HVAC Installer at Cool Air Rentals, you will be responsible for providing installation services and the repair, maintenance and upgrade of our temporary heating and cooling equipment. The duties required in this position take place both in our shop and on our various client project sites.
- Preparing, testing, and loading of equipment as it is readied for projects.
- Assist with equipment return through the cleaning, testing, and tagging process to ensure its return to active rental status.
- Maintaining an organized workspace and conducting repairs and upgrades to equipment in a professional and safe manner.
- Contacting the customer, arranging timing, and reviewing the project to confirm that customer’s expectations align.
- Loading, delivery and installation of our temporary cooling and heating equipment.
- Representing Cool Air in a confident, professional manner at all times
- Directing the setup of all equipment in a safe, effective, and organized manner.
- Returning the job site to its original condition on completion of work.
- Leading the removal of equipment and transport back to our shop at the end of the rental period.
- HVAC and/or plumbing experience is an asset.
- Fluency in English is required for both verbal and written communication.
- Skilled in troubleshooting.
- Class 5 drivers license with a clean driving record for at least 3 years preferred.
- Energetic, enthusiastic and a willingness to work hard in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Able to show initiative and work efficiently to solve problems.
- Good customer service skills - positive attitude and well organized.
- Ability to work professionally and be a team player.
- Some flexibility in working overtime hours during the week as well as managing occasional on-call weekends particularly during the peak summer and winter months.
