Description:
•Acts as a primary contact for employees, leaders and management on human resources related programs/process roll-out, and questions to include the areas organization development, policies and benefits. Partners with the functional experts when needed.
•Works closely with management to gain a comprehensive understanding of the company’s hiring needs and to meet competitive hiring goals and expectations.
•Creates a smooth process for recruiting, evaluating, interviewing and hiring skilled talent.
•Prepares recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job boards/newspapers/colleges etc.
•Represents Rainbow Energy Center at outside job fairs and other recruitment opportunities.
•Collaborates with local high schools to foster interest in partnering with Rainbow Energy Center.
•Communicates with external applicants regarding position details, including working conditions, benefits and duties.
•Generates official internal documents such as offer letters, employee handbooks, and benefit enrollment communications.
•Facilitates HR specific training for new employees, ensuring they are well-informed about company policies, procedures, and culture while guiding them through the benefits enrollment process.
•Maintains accurate employee records within the HR databases.
•Communicates effectively with a variety of stakeholders including leaders, managers, executives and the payroll department regarding on-going employee issues or changes in employment statuses.
•Works closely with management for evaluation and resolution of complicated employee relation issues. Conducts investigations of complaints and concerns that could result in legal ramifications or organization exposure; assess the severity, involve appropriate individuals and facilitate appropriate action based on established practice and relevant laws.
•Acts as a resource for Leaders, Managers, and Director of Plant Operations to develop the workforce and succession plan objectives.
•Participates in professional organizations, continuous learning efforts, conferences and meetings to remain current on trends and changes in talent management and the human resources field.
•Networks and builds relationships both internal and external and uses connections to bring back best practices.
•Provides performance guidance to leaders (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions, etc.) on issues affecting morale, performance, personal and professional development, and overall employee satisfaction.
•Partner with leadership to identify training and development needs across the organization. Implement and/or recommend programs to foster employee growth and improve organizational performance.
•Assists with administering the 401(k) plan, including employee enrollment and coordinating with the retirement plan service provider and provides ongoing employee education.
•Maintains HR Compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
•Oversees the day-to-day administration of employee benefit plans, including health plans and leave of absence.
•Provides information about benefits to employees, retirees, and other interested parties.
•Advises and counsels employees on available benefits and helps them understand their benefit programs.
•Oversees the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Short Term Disability (STD), Long Term Disability (LTD), and military leaves of absence.
•Facilitates the interactive process under ADA including providing consultation to leaders, business partners and employees on disability related and reasonable accommodation matters.
•Works with legal counsel as needed to ensure compliance.
•Provides back-up assistance to payroll, as needed.
•All other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Education & Experience
Minimum education requirements include a four-year degree resulting in a bachelor’s degree in human resource management, business or a related field and 5+ years related work experience within the human resources field. Master’s degree in an HR or related degree program and/or HR certification preferred. Demonstrated maturity in deliverables is a must.

•Skills in developing and delivering effective presentations.
•Ability and responsibility to work safely alone and with others while following REC safety rules, certifications, and procedures.
•Ability and responsibility to ensure security procedures are followed including immediate notification of potential incidents.
•Knowledge and understanding of employment laws, human resources theory, and legal requirements to act as a subject matter expert to core groups.
•Strong MS Office Suite Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
•Ability to plan, organize, prioritize time/workload to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.
