The HSE Supervisor II role is a full-time on-site position located in the Carolinas. Daily responsibilities include overseeing health, safety, and environmental programs, conducting inspections, investigating accidents, and ensuring compliance with occupational health standards. The HSE Supervisor II will also be responsible for implementing safety protocols and training employees to maintain a safe work environment.
o Lead and supervise a team of HSE technicians or Supervisors, providing guidance, support, and guidance.
o Coordinate with team members to ensure that HSE procedures are effectively implemented and followed.
o Assist in the development and execution of health, safety, and environmental programs and policies.
o Ensure that HSE procedures and practices are adhered to in daily operations and project activities.
o Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to monitor compliance with HSE regulations and company policies.
o Identify hazards, assess risks, and ensure corrective actions to address any non-compliance issues are implemented.
o Oversee the reporting and investigation of workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
o Ensure proper documentation and follow-up on corrective and preventive actions.
o Coordinate and deliver safety training sessions and workshops for employees.
o Assess training needs and ensure that all workforce receive necessary safety education and resources.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, a related field, or equivalent experience and certifications.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in health, safety, and environmental roles, with at least [2] years in a supervisory position.
o Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations and best practices.
o Ability to conduct thorough inspections and investigations.
o Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
