Job Description
As the HSE Coordinator, you will support and promote Beyond Energy’s Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) program throughout our Canadian operations, with a strong emphasis on field support. You will be a key liaison between the HSE Department, operations, and facilities management, providing front-line safety support, guidance, and coaching.
This is a Canada-based role, reporting directly to the HSE Manager and working closely with the Canadian Operations team.
Key Responsibilities
•Champion the implementation and continuous improvement of Beyond Energy’s HSE Management System in accordance with Canadian legislation, industry best practices, and client-specific requirements
•Maintain up-to-date knowledge of applicable federal, provincial, and industry regulations to ensure ongoing compliance across all operations in Canada
•Maintain documentation as required by the position
•Conduct routine field and facility inspections to assess safety performance, observe work practices, and identify opportunities for improvement through coaching and mentoring
•Lead or actively participate in field-level risk assessments, toolbox meetings, safety stand-downs, and other safety engagements
•Assist in the investigation and reporting of incidents, near misses, and non-conformances, and help develop corrective and preventative actions
•Support contractor management, client HSE compliance, and company internal audits
•Coordinate emergency response drills and ensure that emergency response plans are regularly reviewed and updated to remain relevant and effective
•Assist with COR Audit and client safety audit preparation, including document review, site readiness, and follow-up action plans
•Deliver or coordinate HSE-related training and refreshers for new and existing personnel
•Monitor and track HSE metrics, inspections, and training using company reporting systems
•Coordinate with field and shop operations to maintain and supply required safety equipment
•Stay current on provincial and industry-specific HSE regulations and best practices
•Foster a proactive safety culture by providing visible leadership, mentorship, and engagement across all levels of the organization
•Facilitate positive HSE-related client relationships and attend engagement meetings as required
•Undertake projects as assigned
•Drive a first-in-class HSE culture by leading initiatives that enhance proactive safety engagement
Qualifications
•5+ years of HSE experience in oil and gas (knowledge or experience with Managed Pressure Drilling considered an asset)
•Strong understanding of local, Provincial, and federal regulations
•Experience conducting field inspections, audits, and managing contractor compliance
•OHS Certification or equivalent in an OHS-related discipline is preferred
•A valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract
•Standard First Aid & CPR
•Ability to travel (25% of time)

•Ability to use Microsoft 365 Office Suite
•Proactive problem solving.
Work Environment:
•Must be comfortable working in field environments, including exposure to varying weather conditions and extended work hours during peak operations
•Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
•This is an office-based position
