We are currently looking for a talented professional to lead our Health, Safety and Environmental function. The qualified individual will provide environmental and regulatory guidance to field operations, and plans, directs, and coordinates HSE programs to control risks and losses. This is a hands on, individual contributor position.
- Conducts site inspections for environmental and regulatory compliance and maintains inspection records.
- Oversees remediation and restoration efforts following environmental incidents, providing input on corrective actions and implementation. Manages documentation flow and ensures complete incident records.
- Develops solid relationships with management and operations personnel and provides constructive feedback and input regarding operational policies and procedures.
- Work with field staff to address safety issues, conduct safety meetings, and promote an overall healthy and safe environment.
- Oversees and administers safety and training program activities and compliance; responsible for scheduling and executing recurring safety meetings, and safety statistics, policies and procedures, and safety award program.
- Coordinates and investigates all work incidents, accidents, and injuries; obtains and completes necessary documentation; follows up with employee, supervisor, and doctors as needed; file claims and generates reports.
- Lead analysis and evaluation of compliance areas related to operations and implement corrective action to resolve potential problems.
- Coordinate and liaison with city governments and regulatory agencies for health, safety and environmental rules and regulations.
- Manage and maintain all TCEQ daily and annual emissions reports along with other annual Federal Reports including but not limited to Tier I and II reports, PBR’s, and facility updates.
- Document and track all emissions pursuant to TCEQ standards and have a familiarity with STEERS.
- Manage and qualify vendors and keep them updated with current insurance and Master Service Agreements.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in an oil and gas operations field environment with HSE program responsibility.
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety or Environmental Engineering or related field preferred.
- Ability to travel as required to perform job duties (North Texas); 24/7 on call position.
- Working knowledge of HSE and training standards for the industry.
- Working knowledge of rules and regulations of the TCEQ, RRC, OSHA and the EPA, and DFW Metroplex/North Texas.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations, worker’s compensation, and related incident safety activities and programs.
- Computer literate, including Microsoft Office suite and internet savvy.
- Demonstrated experience in written and communication skills, including presentations to various sized groups.
