HSE Specialist
General Summary:
Daily Instruments is seeking an The EHS Specialist plays a critical role in maintaining health and safety standards in the workspace, minimizing risks, and ensuring a safe working environment. They will be the lead person for safety related materials, as well as safety training. The successful candidate will have a keen attention to detail, be highly organized, as well as continuously improve efficiency of environmental, health and safety systems.
Key Responsibilities:
•Compliance: Ensure that the workplace is compliant with all applicable safety regulations.
•Safety Programs: Design, implement, and maintain programs that provide safe and sustainable working conditions.
•Incident Reports: Investigate and conduct root cause analysis of incidents.
Training: Educate employees on safety procedures and regulations.
Skills:
•Knowledge of Regulations: Need a strong understanding of environmental, health, and safety regulations with a proven work-history.
•Communication: Must be able to communicate effectively with employees and management, as well as be agent of change.
•Problem-Solving: Need to be able to identify and resolve safety problems.
•Analytical Skills: Need to be able to analyze data and identify trends, as well as maintain required compliance.
Qualifications:
•2+ years of work experience in EHS related role.
•Bachelor of Science/Arts in the field of Environmental Health and Safety is preferred, but not required.
•Bilingual Spanish. (written and verbal comprehension)

Physical Requirements:
•Physically able to conduct interviews, and/or inspections and carry equipment used for inspections.
•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
•Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
•Ability to work, maneuver about, or stand in noisy fabrication shop area for extended periods of time, as needed
Employment Details:
•On-Site, In-Person in a dynamic manufacturing environment
•Monday to Friday from 8AM to 5PM, flexible schedule to accommodate two production shifts
•Reports to Manufacturing and Field Department Managers.

Compensation:
•Annual salary range based on experience from $50K-$90K/yr.
•Eligible for discretionary end of year bonus.

•Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer other than current employer
•Must be fluent in English with ability to communicate highly technical terms/ideas; any other language skills are beneficial
•This is primarily a sedentary position, but may require the physical ability to work in a busy shop/warehouse environment including sitting, standing, lifting/moving up to 50 pounds, infrequently.
