Job Title: Human Resources Summer Student/Intern
Location: Calgary, AB
Position Summary: The Human Resources (HR) Intern plays a key role in supporting administration in the HR department as it relates to recruitment, onboarding, and payroll processes as well as overall HRIS administration in both the field and corporate office. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who can take accountability and is driven by continuous growth and development. This is an excellent opportunity for an emerging HR student to gain valuable experience supporting a highly dynamic employee group and HR Team.

What You’ll Be Doing:
•Providing administrative support to the HR team and within our HCM System – UKG Pro to complete day to day tasks including:
+ Reviewing resumes, completing telephone prescreens, booking interviews and generating offer letters;
+ Working with external/internal candidates and support functions to ensure onboarding processes are completed and all necessary information has been obtained;
+ Completing employment verifications in collaboration with employees and HR Team;
+ Ensuring all people related changes are properly tracked and approved as dictated by our policies;
•Maintaining electronic personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements;
•Supporting the benefits administration process and ensuring all employee information is updated accurately and on time;
•Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
Who We’re Looking For:
•Currently enrolled in post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in Human Resources, Business or related area;
•Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications;
•Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills; and
•Excellent telephone and oral communication skills.
