Title: HR Business Partner
Type: Full-Time/Exempt
Reports to: HR Business Partner Supervisor
Responsibilities:
•Assists with guidance and interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
•Maintains in-depth knowledge of federal, state and local legal requirements related to employee management and staying current with legislation changes. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
•Provides recommendation and guidance regarding performance management, which includes coaching, counseling, disciplinary actions and separations.
•Resolves employee relations issues and addresses grievances by conducting thorough and objective investigations.
•Analyzes and interpret data and business trends to identify gaps and propose solutions.
•Conducts regular meetings with management team to provide HR support and guidance.
•Develops partnership with management to build morale while increasing productivity and retention.
•Provides guidance on job changes, restructures, workforce planning and retention strategies.
•Collaborates with managers and employees to complete both onboarding and offboarding initiatives.
•Identifies training opportunities within the business and works with other departments to determine a curriculum and ensure objectives are being met.
•Partners with management and third-party vendor to represent the company on unemployment claims and hearings.
•Maintains confidentiality of employee and business information while demonstrating the highest degree of professionalism.
•Assist with administering leaves of absence, focusing primarily on the Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, pandemic leave and vaccine management.
•Partner with the Recruiting team to advertise, recruit, track and report on open positions. Authorizes Form I-9s and conducts background checks when applicable.
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth environment both independently, as well as, within a highly collaborative team environment.
•Other related duties and responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
•Bachelor’s degree required. HR certification preferred.
•1-2 years of prior HR Business Partner and employee relations experience.
•Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish is preferred.
•Ability to communicate effectively with management and employees.
•Working knowledge of EEOC, Title VII, Family Medical Leave Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, federal and state employment legislation, and Company policies and procedures.
•Ability to make independent decisions and resolve employee relations issues; ability to handle sensitive personnel matters in a confidential fashion.
•Strong critical thinking and organizational skills; the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently; extremely detail oriented.
•Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills, as well as, strong coaching and presentation skills.
•Proficient in Workday and Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
•Able to travel 25% of the time to conduct onsite field visits.
