Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Your expertise will ensure that our equipment operates efficiently and safely, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
•
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, and forklifts.
•
Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
•
Execute brake repairs and tire services to ensure optimal performance and safety.
•
Fabricate and weld parts as needed for equipment repair or modification.
•
Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts used.
•
Collaborate with team members to transmit information regarding equipment status and repair needs.
•
Ensure compliance with safety regulations while working on industrial equipment.
Skills
•
Proficient in brake repair techniques and tire service procedures.
•
Experience operating forklifts and other heavy machinery.
•
Strong ability to maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment effectively.
•
Knowledge of OEM specifications for various types of machinery.
•
Skilled in fabricating components and welding as required for repairs.
•
Excellent automotive diagnostic skills to identify mechanical issues quickly.
•
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
•
CAT/VOLVO experience preferred.
