Heating and Cooling Equipment Installer

Job Overview

Devaney Energy is seeking a skilled heating and cooling installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of heating and cooling equipment systems, and water heaters, ensuring that all installations meet quality standards and customer satisfaction. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

- Perform installations of heating and cooling equipment and water heaters according to specifications and company standards.

- Utilize tools and equipment to ensure proper installation and functionality.

- Conduct inspections of installed products to verify quality and adherence to safety regulations.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any installation issues that may arise during the process.

- Maintain accurate records of installations, including any modifications or repairs made.

- Communicate effectively with team members and clients regarding project updates and timelines.

- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

- At least 5 years’ experience as a heating and cooling installation role is required.

- Strong knowledge of oil, propane, natural gas and air conditioning systems is required.

- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with clients and team members effectively.

- Valid driver license and a clean driving record.

Job Summary:

Devaney Energy is seeking an experienced, full-time HVAC Mechanical Oil Burner Technicians to work out of our Newton or Mendon, MA office. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, strong technical ability, problem-solving skills, positive attitude along with all the proper state licensing requirements. We are a family-owned and operated energy company with over 85 years of delivering the highest level of service to our oil and propane customers. Roles and Responsibilities:

- Perform thorough annual preventative maintenance on customers’ heating equipment ensuring it runs on peak efficiency

- Identify and repair problems with heating/cooling equipment

- Respond to routine and emergency service calls

- Create exceptional experience for all customers

- Understanding of propane, natural gas and air conditioning systems a plus

- Communicate on a regular basis with the Service Team

- Ability to work with our tablet systems

- Ability to work independently

- Available to work overtime and weekends when necessary

- Possess a valid driver license and clean driving record

The ideal candidate provides customer service and satisfaction by efficiently maintaining and repairing all Propane and Oil appliances sold by the company to residential, commercial and industrial customers in a manner that supports the company’s commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction. Roles and Responsibilities:

- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot all aspects of propane systems and appliances in a safe, professional, and efficient manner.

- Install propane gas tanks and perform/document gas checks

- Interact with customers and co-workers respectfully and in a manner that supports the company’s commitment to service excellence and customer satisfaction

- Ensure all company policies, procedures, handbooks, manuals and state/local and federal codes are adhered to in connection with all troubleshooting, repairs, services and installations

- Perform all functions of the job in every weather condition, day and night, participate in “on-call” rotation and be available to work on Saturdays as needed

- Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspection and operate company vehicle in a safe manner, in compliance with state/federal motor vehicle laws

- Be receptive to and competently use new technology

- Complete paperwork in neat, timely, and accurate manner

- Consistent compliance with company, state, and federal safety regulations

- Present a neat and clean appearance, including maintaining cleanliness of uniform and vehicle

- Always maintain and promote company brand guidelines and core values

Minimum Requirements:

- Hold valid MA or RI state LP license or Gas Fitter’s license to perform daily propane service and installations

- A valid operator driving license and clean driving record

- A Commercial Drivers’ License is preferred but not required.

- 1-3-years of relevant industry experience in propane

- The ability to manually lift heavy objects (up to 75lbs).

- Highly organized and flexible

- Problem solving /troubleshooting skills

- HVAC experience a plus

- Must be reliable, enthusiastic, committed, and accountable.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

- Safely load and deliver propane fuel to our customers

- Valid commercial driver’s license

- Hazmat and Tanker endorsements

- Good driving record

- Valid DOT physical exam & medical card

- Pass random drug & alcohol testing

- Maintain company equipment to the highest levels of safety standards and cleanliness

- Conduct pre/post trip inspections
