Quality Assistant for a Metal Treating Co - Full time
1st shift Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:30pm
This position will support the heat treat production operations. Responsibilities include review of customer documents to verify our work order will meet our quality standards and specifications. Complete conformance certificates and other related paperwork, assist with shop audits, and bring deviations, problems or issues to manager to assist with resolving quality concerns.
· Use math to verify quantities, weights, & measures
· Computer experience – Proficient with Outlook and Microsoft Office
· Sound physical condition and able to perform job
· Must be able to lift 50 pounds
· Must have excellent eyesight (corrected) and depth perception
· Meticulous attention to detail, catches small errors and inconsistencies others might overlook
· Strong organizational skills, keeps files, paperwork, and records neat and accessible
· Comfortable with repetitive tasks, reviews similar documents regularly without losing focus
· Self-motivated and disciplined, works independently and manages time well without close supervision
· Thinks logically and follows structured processes, applies procedures consistently and thoroughly
· Understands and works well within defined parameters, knows when to ask questions if something falls outside the lines
· Holds themselves accountable for accuracy and completeness, doesn’t let unclear or missing information slide
· Recognizes patterns and spots inconsistencies, connects the dots across POs, specs, and drawings
· Uncomfortable leaving loose ends or unanswered questions, will follow up until everything is resolved
· Communicates effectively, documents clarifications, discrepancies, and resolutions clearly
