About This Job

We are seeking two experienced quality control inspectors to join our team to ensure compliance with industry standards and company specifications for natural gas operations. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in materials inspection, corrosion control, and quality assurance, with relevant certifications (NACE/AMPP or CWI).

Key Responsibilities

•

Conduct inspections of materials, welding, coatings, and infrastructure to ensure compliance with NACE/AMPP, CWI, or other industry standards.

•

Perform field and documentation audits, verifying adherence to safety and quality protocols.

•

Identify and report defects, non-conformities, and potential risks in natural gas systems.

•

Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and field teams to implement corrective actions.

•

Maintained detailed inspection records and generated reports for regulatory and internal review.

•

Ensure compliance with SoCalGas policies, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.

Required Qualifications & Experience

•

5+ years of Quality Control Inspection experience (materials, welding, coatings, or corrosion).

•

5+ years of experience in natural gas, oil & gas, or related industries (preferred).

•

Certification in NACE/AMPP (National Association of Corrosion Engineers/Association for Materials Protection and Performance) or CWI (Certified Welding Inspector).

•

Strong knowledge of industry standards (API, ASME, ASTM, etc.).

•

Proficiency in inspection tools and documentation software.

•

High attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings/specifications.

Preferred Qualifications

•

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (not required but a plus).

•

Additional certifications (e.g., API 510/570, AWS, or equivalent).

•

Experience working with utility companies (e.g., SoCalGas, PG&E)

Pay: $30.00 - $50.00 per hour
