Heat Treat Machine Operator

JOB DUTIES:

- Measure, mark, and write temperatures and reference points on material/work pieces

- Select, align, and secure fixtures and stamp position numbers.

- Calculate and set controls to regulate temperatures and pressures: speed, gas pressure, and part clearance, and enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit machine control programs.

- Manufacture parts and components within the specified tolerances, with limited scrap and in time with the production schedule

- Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust machine controls as required

- Perform in-process inspections to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and quality standards

- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures

- May perform duties such as stenciling, cleaning, and assisting the operators in the building to ensure production runs smoothly.

- Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment to keep the operation running smoothly

- Train new employees and cross-train in other areas.

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred

- Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

- Basic computer skills

- High attention to detail

- Ability to communicate and work safely in a team-oriented environment
