EV Solar is seeking a Health & Safety Coordinator to support the safe execution of our utility-scale, ground-mounted solar construction projects. In this role, you’ll assist with the day-to-day implementation of safety procedures, ensure jobsite compliance with safety regulations, and help maintain a culture where safety is a shared responsibility across all levels. This is a field-based role that reports to the Portfolio Manager with oversight and guidance from Operations and/or Management.
· Support Safety Compliance – Assist in ensuring compliance with OSHA standards, EV Solar policies, and site-specific safety plans across active job sites.
· Participate in Inspections & Audits – Conduct and document regular safety walk-throughs and inspections under the direction of senior site staff. Help identify hazards and support corrective actions.
· Maintain Site Safety Records – Assist in keeping up-to-date safety documentation such as daily reports, training logs, and incident reports. Ensure all required records are accessible on-site.
· Help Coordinate Trainings & Meetings – Assist with site orientations, toolbox talks, and basic safety trainings. Help ensure workers understand and follow safety expectations.
· Incident Support – Respond to safety incidents and near-misses by helping gather information and assisting with initial reporting. Work with leadership on follow-up and documentation.
· Monitor PPE & Equipment Use – Help confirm all workers are using proper PPE and that safety equipment is available and in good condition.
· Emergency Preparedness – Support the implementation of emergency procedures and ensure emergency equipment (like fire extinguishers and first aid kits) is inspected and accessible.
· Promote a Safety-First Culture – Set a positive example for safety practices and encourage a collaborative, proactive approach to health and safety on site.
· Associate’s degree, safety certification, or equivalent field experience in safety or construction.
· 1–5 years of experience in a safety-related position, preferably in construction.
· Basic understanding of OSHA 29, CFR 1926, and general safety standards.
· Good communication and observation skills with attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to sites as needed.
· Current First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
· OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to complete shortly after hire).
· Experience on solar or renewable energy construction projects.
· Familiarity with safety documentation and reporting tools.
