Encore Wellhead Systems is seeking a hands-on, results-oriented HSE Manager to lead and implement safety and training programs in compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as corporate and client policies. This role is critical to driving OSHA and CDL compliance, cultivating a strong safety culture, and supporting operational excellence at the division level.
Encore Wellhead Systems provides engineered solutions for conventional and multi-bowl wellheads, storage wellheads, underwater recovery systems, frac trees, and zipper manifolds. Our personnel are cross-trained for onshore and offshore drilling, completions, and production operations. - Develop and manage location-specific safety programs aligned with regulatory and organizational standards.
- Facilitate training for field and office personnel on safety procedures, new initiatives, and injury prevention.
- Administer and monitor Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) programs to reinforce safe behaviors and ensure all employees complete required safety and operational training on time.
- Maintain open communication between leadership and employees regarding safety performance and incidents.
- Conduct audits of facilities, equipment, and processes to identify risks and ensure compliance.
- Lead investigations of accidents and incidents; perform root cause analyses and implement corrective actions.
- Perform hazard assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Organize and lead safety committee meetings.
- Oversee operational training programs and ensure compliance with required standards.
- Provide coaching and support for safety and operational initiatives.
- Identify training needs and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual training plans.
- Collaborate with operations managers to address specific training requirements.
- Ensure safety documentation is current and compliant.
- Reduce workplace incidents and promote a safer work environment year over year.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on EPA, OSHA, and CDL regulations.- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Salary is based on a sliding scale and will be determined by years of relevant experience.
We’re looking for an HSE professional who brings:
- 5+ years of experience in safety and training management, ideally within industrial or transportation environments.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT/CDL regulations, with the ability to apply them effectively in the field.
- A proven track record of leading safety initiatives and fostering a culture of accountability.
- Hands-on experience conducting audits, investigations, and implementing corrective actions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Availability to respond after hours when needed, as our operations run 24/7.
- Professional certifications (CSP, CSHM, OSHA 30, 132, 233, or 500) — preferred but not required.
- The ability to design, deliver, and adapt training programs that engage employees.
- A collaborative approach and the confidence to partner with leaders across departments.
