KMC specializes in high-performance alloys and friction materials from raw materials to finished products under one roof in Orillia, Canada. Manufacturing unique heat resistant alloys and high nickel/chrome alloys primarily for the petrochemical industries, Kubota leads the industry in quality and advanced technology. As per customer requirements, Kubota designs and casts centrifugal pipes and static castings of fittings which are then machined, welded (Automatic, Semi-Automatic, Orbital & Manual) GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, followed by in house NDT (RT, PT, VT), in house DT, R&D lab, as well as hydro testing.
Summary:
Responsible for the development and maintenance of sales and marketing opportunities for Kubota Materials Canada Corporation within the Gulf Coast.
Major Responsibilities (but not limited to):
•Develop and implement KMC’s Marketing and Sales strategy.
•Optimize selling prices and sales margins through effective negotiations on major projects.
•Develop new customer/market base in high technology markets (not limited to: reformer tubes, ethylene cracking, steel industry, and castings for other markets).
•Ensure accurate forecasting of ongoing sales for all regions.
•Manage, review and approve all quotations in coordination with internal Technical and Sales teams.
•Attend pre-award meetings and negotiate commercial and technical aspects of contracts.
•Monitor receivables as per contractual terms.
•Act as liaison with customers for progress/delivery of projects and develop countermeasures to ensure timely delivery.
•Develop annual departmental budgets and assume fiscal accountability of the section.
•Manage goals and objectives for Global Sales & Customer Service to ensure alignment with the overall Vice President, Global Sales & Customer Service goals.
•Support Kubota Global Identity, with the Brand and Spirit statements of Kubota Materials Canada Corporation.
•Represent the department in meetings, as requested.
•Attend to customer needs outside business hours, as they occur.
•Other related duties, as required.
Education, Experience and Qualifications:
•A Bachelor degree from an accredited university preferred Engineering Degree.
•Professional Engineers of Ontario designation (maintain current standing).
•Sales & Marketing diploma from an accredited university will be considered an asset.
•Experience in a Sales capacity within an alloy steel foundry environment.
•Comprehensive knowledge of the heat resistant case steel business, markets and products.
•Strong negotiation skills while engaging customers using tact and discretion.
•Ability to interpret blueprint and layout drawings.
•Successful criminal reference check is required.
•Valid driver’s license with access to reliable vehicle.
•Basic knowledge of machining, welding and fabrication.
•Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite.
