Marketing Co-Founder (Demand & Product Marketing) — Equity Only
About B-Roll
B-Roll is a two-sided marketplace connecting people with nearby photographers for fast, flexible mini-shoots (15/30/60 minutes). MVP is live in Flutter; we’re in beta and iterating toward traction.
Compensation
This is an equity-only cofounder role to start (meaningful ownership; standard vesting). No salary until revenue/funding.
- Acquisition: Paid (Meta/Google/TikTok), local SEO/ASO, landing pages, partnerships, referral/UGC.
- Activation & CRO: Shorten the path from ad/search → landing → app/store → first booking; own copy and creative testing.
- Lifecycle & retention: Email/SMS/push for onboarding, reminders, re-activation, reviews/UGC.
- Product marketing: ICPs, positioning, messaging, pricing/packaging; partner with product to improve the booking flow.
- Analytics & experimentation: Event schema, dashboards, and a weekly test cadence; size and read experiments confidently.
- Brand & content: Voice/tone, content system, creator program; leverage deep links for sharing and growth.
You will not own supply (photographer acquisition/onboarding). You’ll collaborate to keep demand in balance with available supply.Operating principles (what makes you a fit)
- Startup mode: Comfortable with ambiguity, small teams, and owning outcomes end-to-end.
- Iterate fast: Bias to ship small experiments weekly; kill or scale based on signal.
- Data-driven when data exists: Start with directional signals (qual, proxy metrics); evolve quickly to rigorous analytics as volume grows.
- Write & test: You can produce or direct fast creative (ads, landing pages, lifecycle copy) and A/B it without drama.
- Customer-obsessed: You talk to users, watch recordings, and let insights shape tests.
Near-term focus: Prove liquidity in one market (“City Zero”)
Your north star is to prove marketplace liquidity in a single metro before expansion. Example targets (we’ll finalize together):
- Fill rate: ≥60–80% of qualified requests booked within 24 hours
- Time to first booking (new user): median ≤24 hours
- Unit economics: CAC → first booking within target; first→second booking conversion rising week-over-week
- Repeatable channels: ≥2 scalable demand channels with stable CAC across 4–6 weeks
What success looks like in your first 90 days
- Clear ICPs and value props for consumers; messaging and store listings aligned.
- Measurement foundation live: GA4 + product analytics (events/funnels/retention) with a weekly dashboard.- 10–15 experiments run; ≥3 winners scaled (e.g., high-intent landers, referral credit loop, creator/UGC engine).
- City Zero GTM launched: demand plan, budget/test design, weekly readouts; liquidity metrics trending to targets.
- Lifecycle journeys built to drive first booking and re-activation.
Nice to have: ASO for mobile apps; Webflow/Framer basics; creator/influencer programs; pricing/packaging tests; basic SQL.
