Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Groundskeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the aesthetic appeal and health of our landscapes, ensuring that outdoor areas are clean, safe, and inviting. This role requires a strong attention to detail and a passion for outdoor work, including the use of various tools and equipment.
Duties
•
Perform regular lawn care tasks including mowing, trimming, and fertilizing to maintain healthy grass and plant life.
•
Irrigate gardens and landscaped areas to ensure proper hydration of plants and turf.
•
Utilize power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, and blowers for efficient grounds maintenance.
•
Conduct landscape maintenance activities including planting flowers, shrubs, and trees as needed.
•
Maintain cleanliness of grounds by removing debris, trash, and other obstacles from pathways and garden areas.
•
Use hand tools effectively for various gardening tasks such as weeding, edging, and pruning.
•
Monitor the health of plants and landscapes, identifying any issues such as pests or diseases that may require attention.
•
Collaborate with team members to execute landscaping projects or enhancements as directed.
Qualifications
•
Previous experience in groundskeeping or landscape maintenance is preferred but not required.
•
Knowledge of lawn care techniques and landscape design principles is advantageous.
•
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively; training will be provided if necessary.
•
Strong physical stamina to perform manual labor outdoors in various weather conditions.
•
Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and aesthetics in all work performed.
•
Willingness to learn new skills related to gardening and landscape maintenance.
