GIS Analyst II
Summary/Objective:
EDM is seeking a GIS Analyst II that will have a focus in performing a variety of geospatial tasks, including database schema development, geoprocessing/spatial analysis, modeling, automation, web GIS, and mobile app configuration and end-user support. Under the direction of the Lead or Manager, the Analyst II will execute all tiers of project designs and implement desktop, web, and field solutions. The Analyst will report to the GIS Manager and will support any of the GIS Operations, GIS Analytics, and Geospatial Solutions subsectors at EDM.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Configure and deploy services to ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise
•Esri mobile solution design and implementation (Field Maps, Survey123, Quick Capture)
•Esri web app solution design and implementation (Operations Dashboard, Web App Builder, Experience Builder, Story Maps, Survey123 Web App)
•Database design/schema development, data management
•Project deliverables and QA/QC
•Perform cartography, create map products
•Train and support field personnel in mobile software and hardware
•Train, support, and augment GIS Technicians in data loading and processing workflows
Qualifications/Experience:
•B.S./M.S. in Geography, Data Science, Computer Science, Environmental Science or related field.
•6+ years of experience in full-time GIS related positions
•Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro 3.x, geoprocessing, and data editing
•Proficiency in GIS web services, and creating apps within ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Portal
•Proficiency using scripting languages in both web and desktop GIS (python, arcade)
•Proficiency with geodatabase design and GIS data models
•Excellent professional, organizational, as well as written and verbal communication skills
•Adept at problem-solving and providing wholistic, creative solutions
•Ability to independently research, troubleshoot, and resolve GIS problems/errors, while applying quality attention to detail
•Knowledge base in electric utility operations and asset management
•Deploy entire projects, from database setup, service publishing, web map configuration, web app configuration, and mobile app configuration
•Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
•Knowledge of geospatial UAS products (oblique imagery, orthophotos, point clouds, etc)
•Strong working knowledge of IT, networking, and Windows servers

Work Environment / Physical Demands:
•This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
•The employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
•This is a full-time exempt/salary position
Salary:
•$70,000-$80,000 Annually
