Gas Technician

Red Cap Propane Ltd. is hiring a G2 Licensed Gas Technician for our Stratford location to service customers in our area.

Main Purpose of the Job:

Provide service to our customers to install, inspect, repair, service or remove propane equipment in keeping with Ontario Regulation 215/01.

Reports to: Service Manager and Branch Manager

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Install, service and remove propane tanks and necessary equipment to supply propane appliances.

· Follow service schedule and time schedules.

· Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate the service vehicle.

· Communicate with customers and management in a professional manner at all times.

· Complete appropriate paperwork.

· Operate assorted equipment in variety of weather and traffic conditions.

· Follow all G2 license regulations and health and safety standards and regulations.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

G2 Certificate as defined in Ontario Regulation 215/01

Must have a valid driver’s license (minimum of G license, DZ welcomed)

Basic math skills and reading ability

Communication skills

Transportation of Dangerous Goods certification provided

WHMIS training provided

Crane training provided

May require a criminal record check if hired.

Additional qualifications, years of experience and abilities would affect the rate of pay.

Must be available for occasional after-hours, on-call time.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to sit, stand, walk on uneven ground and drive.

Demonstrate excellent customer service skills.

Gas Technicians must be able to lift 45 pounds and operate a crane.

Overtime availability required from time to time.
