Greenville Utilities seeks individuals to perform natural gas pipeline work. Duties include: the construction of natural gas mains and services; spotting utility facilities; checking and repairing gas leaks; responding to customer requests; responding to emergency conditions; backfilling excavation trenches; ensuring vehicles are stocked with necessary materials and equipment; and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Commission vehicles, hand tools, and gas powered and pneumatic tools.
Typical work schedule is 4 days/10 hours per day; Monday - Thursday or Tuesday-Friday; 7:00 am – 5:30 pm.
This is a DOT-regulated position and is subject to random drug and alcohol testing per DOT guidelines.
Employment is contingent upon passing a physical examination including a drug/alcohol screening and a comprehensive background check.
