Performs work consistent with training provided and/or skills attained or held. Install, set, remove, transfer, turn on and turn off meters; diagnose problems, replace parts, make adjustments and use independent judgment when necessary. Locate and repair or report gas leaks; assist in and/or perform all duties within job series; execute all forms and reports as required and perform other similar or related duties. Use of Company approved gauges and leak detection equipment to test service and house lines. Grade and pre-mark leaks; Complete any job assessment form required. Upon approval from the appropriate governing body, may be permitted to repair leaks on jurisdictional pipe and adjust, repair or replace domestic regulators.
May be assigned other work in accordance with the Labor Agreement.
Successful candidate will be required to bid a shift by bargaining unit seniority date. This schedule is subject to change for vacations, extended illnesses and/or in accordance with the Labor Agreement.
Eligible for automatic increases to maximum job rate in accordance with the Labor Agreement.
Successful applicant must live within 45 minutes of the Easthampton Area Work Center
