Seeking an experienced frontend, functional developer for long-term and consistent part-time development of features related to a recently launched web application, the Allied Master Builder. You will be contracted primarily for FE development, possibly other related Allied software development projects. The ideal candidate is a creative, hardworking, collaborative problem solver, capable of working independently. Communicating development specifications, scope, and estimated timelines consistently and regularly is essential to this position.
You will deliver quality code and features that are properly tested and well documented. Success will also be defined by consistent adherence to deadlines. In addition, general maintenance, debugging, and other technical debt also fall within the scope of this position. Long-term plans include expanding design and price functionality to address the larger global marketplace for steel buildings.
– Development and maintenance of Allied Master Builder program, focusing primarily on FE, but may also include BE, databases, and related SaaS as
– Ensure projects are built to meet performance, security, and functional requirements
– Research, design, and implement technical specifications from requirements outlined in scope of work, wireframes, and/or documentation
– Provide estimates of time for each project as they’re received with clear communication from start to finish
– Stay up-to-date on industry standards and incorporate where and when applicable
– Assist with testing, debugging, documentation, and overall assurance of projects
– Other duties as assigned by management
– Demonstrated, strong experience working with a functional programming language such as React or ClojureScript (cljs), JavasScript, and version control (Git)
– Only developers with a minimum of four (4) years in a direct, applied developer position will be considered
– Advanced knowledge of HTML/CSS, Javascript
– Speaks English at an idiomatic level
– Experience using Reagent (a minimalistic interface between ClojureScript and React) or other LISP language, EcmaScript (ES6), database management systems, REST-based APIs and API development a plus but not required
