Job Description
We are seeking an entry-level or experienced molder/foundry person to help build high-quality cast parts. The ideal candidate would have a desire to learn, a great attitude, an interest to be in a flexible, team-oriented environment, and the discipline to maintain top-quality work.
- Work safely in a manufacturing environment while wearing Personal Protective Equipment.
- Follow detailed verbal/written instructions, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare and assemble materials and parts.
- Create sand-casting molds by means of hand tools and vibratory/pressing equipment
- Move sand, castings, flasks, or other materials about foundry by hand, using wheelbarrow or cart, or by loading them onto conveyor.
- Install and remove steel jackets and bands
- Break sand mold from finished casting, using bar or hammer.
- Break up used sand molds with bar and shovel sand for reuse in new molds.
- Operate hand power tools, material handling equipment, and any other required machinery efficiently and safely.
- Perform quality control checks and verify work order specifications.
- Properly fill out basic forms, reports, and label products correctly.
- Communicate and work effectively with others.
- Report concerns with quality, processes, equipment, and material to Supervisor.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to facilitate manufacturing functions.
- Able to lift 50lbs.
- Able to pass respirator fit test.
- Able to pull, push, lift, pivot from side to side and stand for long periods of time.
- Able to follow written/verbal instruction.
- Ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical functions, and use a tape measurer.
