This role requires hands-on leadership, strong organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate crews, equipment, and materials to keep projects on track. The ideal candidate has a strong background in civil construction, site management, and crew supervision.

ObjectivesSite Supervision & Crew Leadership
•Be the point person on site, ensuring that projects are executed according to plans, schedules, and safety standards.
•Supervise, direct, and support crews to maximize efficiency and productivity.
•Assign tasks and ensure work is completed to high-quality standards.
•Be the expert with on-site problem-solving and decision-making to keep projects on track.
Safety & Compliance
•Enforce workplace safety regulations and conduct regular safety meetings.
•Ensure compliance with municipal, provincial, and industry regulations.
•Conduct site inspections and hazard assessments, addressing safety concerns immediately.
•Maintain accurate documentation of safety procedures and incident reports.
Equipment & Material Management
•Ensure that equipment is properly maintained, serviced, and available for use.
•Track material usage and coordinate orders to prevent shortages or delays.
•With the help of the Project Manager, verify material specifications and delivery schedules.
Stakeholder Communication & Coordination
•Act as the primary on-site contact for project managers, inspectors, and clients.
•Communicate job progress, challenges, and any required adjustments to project managers.
•Work closely with subcontractors and municipal representatives to ensure compliance with project requirements.
•Provide regular updates to the team to align with overall project goals.
Skills & Qualifications
•Minimum 5+ years of experience in commercial and municipal infrastructure construction.
•Proven experience leading construction crews and managing job sites.
•Strong knowledge of civil construction methods, grading, drainage, roadwork, and site servicing.
•Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and project specifications.
•Experience with municipal permitting, environmental regulations, and site inspections.
•Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
•Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate with teams and stakeholders.
•Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel between job sites as needed.
Compensation & Benefits
•Competitive wages based on experience and work location, with hourly rates ranging from $77/hr to $96/hr. Rates will vary depending on experience and the county where the work is performed.
